IAT test: my culture biased
In English class, I took an IAT test. Sadly, my laptop didn't turn on at the class, so I had to use my phone. In the mobile version of the site, however, I couldn't test the nation of 'America and Korea'. So after the class, I took the test again with a laptop that turned on after class. It was very simple test.
As a result, I don't have any preference between Korea and America. I was surprised with the result. Because I thought, I prefer Korea more than America. I think my personality changed when I entered this school. In the past, I was conservative and thought the most important thing was the profit of our country. I didn’t like my personality like that, so I tried not to be biased, and to be open-minded. I was satisfied with this result!
Nowadays, the world has become globalized, so people all around the world should respect each countries’ culture. In this situation, It's hard to be unbiased. There are lots of racisms, and some people have stereotypes. I will try not to be prejudiced and look at the world widely. I hope my little effort will help make a better society.
Very good! You're right; globalization has really changed the way people feel about diversity. The more we respect each other, the more peacefully we can all live together~
